Join us at Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2024

Be inspired by Hexagon's software and hardware product portfolio, demonstrating a digital thread that spans the entire product lifecycle

By establishing a digital thread that spans the entire product lifecycle, manufacturers can achieve greater visibility, collaboration, and efficiency, ultimately leading to improved product quality and faster time-to-market.

When: 6 – 8 February 2024
Where: Farnborough International Exhibtion Centre, Farnborough, UK
Stand number: C220

Our experts will be on hand throughout the show to hear your pain-points and provide guidance on the latest technology available to solve your manufacturing problems. We will also be providing live demonstrations of our CAE, CAD CAM and simulation software, along with metrology solutions, specifically demonstrating live scanning using the AS1 absolute arm.

Hexagon Seminars at the show
We are thrilled to be presenting the following seminars:

Date: 6 February at 15:00 PM, Room 2
Presenter: Stephen Graham, General Manager of Nexus
Title: Design with Manufacturing
Bio: Stephen Graham is Executive Vice President and General Manager of Nexus. He worked for over 25 years in the technology industry before joining Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence Division as Vice President of Marketing in 2017. More recently he led the Metrology and Production Software Business Unit before being part of the founding team for Nexus.

Abstract:
If you’re lucky enough to work in a small company that designs and makes products under one roof, then you’re in the minority. When there’s a manufacturing problem, there’s a good chance you can thrash it out with the designer until you find a happy compromise and the product can be made.
But that’s a rare luxury as we depend on colleagues in different departments, sites, or countries to get a product to market. Here, Design for manufacturing is hugely important – whether refining CAD for CAM or using simulation to predict how much a part will deform when it’s formed, forged, moulded… but what it you could avoid “throwing the design over the wall” and have the manufacturing experts “in the room” aswell?
With #D3D30 highlight Nexus, Hexagon is doing something new using the latest cloud technologies. In this talk, Stephen Graham will introduce the Nexus digital reality platform and walk through a Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) setup that is helping a 3D printing bureau work with their customer’s engineering team to design with manufacturing using a 3D Whiteboard in Microsoft Teams to combine generative design, build prep and PBF simulations in a single collaborative design review where the teams can solve problems together.

Date: 8 February at 15:00 PM, Room 1
Presenter: Jason Walker, VP General Manufacturing Practice
Title: Empowering Machine Shops
Bio: Jason Walker joined Hexagon in 2015, and now leads General Manufacturing Practice as VP at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. As a seasoned manufacturing industry professional, he is passionate about driving success through a customer-centric approach to adoption of innovative technology solutions and is dedicated to unlocking the full potential of manufacturing organisations through technology and data. With two decades of experience working with leading organisations and supply chains, Jason specialises in simplifying complex problems, improving efficiency, and helping organisations achieve manufacturing excellence.

Abstract:
As the manufacturing industry continues to evolve towards more digital automation and connectivity, Machine Shops often find it difficult to prioritise technology adoption to support transformation initiatives. This group of manufacturers are the lifeblood of the manufacturing industry and supply chain visibility is inextricably reliant on their progress in this area, so Hexagon is working closely with these supply chain manufacturers to help them identify the key areas to help them streamline their initiatives through better use of manufacturing technology that will enable them to not only create more efficiency and sustainability for their businesses but for the entire supply chain.
