Acoustics TechWeek

ON-LINE EVENT SERIES REVIEWING ACOUSTIC APPLICATIONS AND CAE MODELING TECHNIQUES

22 - 26 May 2023 15:00 - 17:00 CEST

Product sound quality is more than ever a key technological differentiator.

The increased awareness of noise pollution combined with an acceleration of more stringent noise regulations challenges every industry sector. Innovation is required to meet new customers' expectations and state regulations.

Accuracy, performance, usability, and openness, are software characteristics engineers from all industries are looking for in order to make the most of the outcomes of the simulation during all phases of product design and manufacturing.

We invite you to join us for an online events series dedicated to Acoustics. During this events series, both the acoustic industrial challenges as well as their existing modeling approach will be reviewed through a combination of industrial case studies, Actran concepts explanations, and live demos.

Agenda

Day 1 - Industrial Context & Challenges

Monday 22 May - 15:00 - 17:00 CEST

Analysis of current trends impacting acoustic engineering and noise-related regulations across industries.

Introduction to existing solutions for efficient acoustic predictions during design phases or firefighting scenarios.

Day 2 - Acoustic Radiation

Tuesday 23 May - 15:00 - 17:00 CEST

Understanding the variety of applications involving acoustic radiation analysis as well as the required input data for CAE model set-up.

Review of typical Actran analysis definition involving structural, multi-body dynamics, or electro-magnetic results.
Live demonstration of acoustic post-processing and analysis modification to represent realistic environment scenarios.

Day 3 - Acoustic Transparency

Wednesday 24 May - 15:00 - 17:00 CEST

How to achieve interior noise comfort or great room-to-room acoustic insulation performances?

Learn how to virtually reproduce transmission loss tests and study the influence of materials, acoustic foam and geometrical modifications.

Day 4 - Duct Acoustics

Thursday 25 May - 15:00 - 17:00 CEST

Acoustic propagation in ducts is involved in a variety of applications from ventilation systems to engine exhaust lines.

Temperature, flow, aero-acoustic sources or complex dissipation mechanisms in narrow channels are all effects engineers and designers need to be able to account for.

Day 5 - High Frequency Vibroacoustics

Friday 26 May - 15:00 - 17:00 CEST

This presentation highlights how to create Virtual SEA models from current FEA models to extend to higher frequencies as well as the possibilities that Virtual SEA offers for performing transfer path analysis, accessing extrapolated SEA parameters and performing sensitivity analyses.
