Industrial sensors and 3D laser scanners

Sensors and scanners are the keys to augmenting tracker functionality.

Laser scanners play a key role in the quality control of geometries and surfaces, reverse engineering, fit and finish, and assembly applications.

Laser scanners work in conjunction with a global referencing system such as a laser tracker or portable measuring arm to create a three-dimensional model of a surface or entire part. 3D digital capture of shapes and surfaces using lasers is an effortless and precise process.

Laser scanners come in different forms, with different strengths, designed for specific purposes. For example, this can translate to a wider laser scanning stripe for faster part coverage, increased stand-off for easier hidden-point coverage, a speedier data capture rate for high-speed scanning or a laser concept designed for consistency across various surface types.

Absolute Scanner AS1

The Absolute Scanner AS1 is the pinnacle of 3D scanner technology for manual and automated applications for laser trackers and portable measuring arms. It constitutes the ultimate all-round portable measurement solution for components of any size.
Using cutting-edge blue-laser technology and advanced programming, it combines maximum performance with simple usability to deliver high-productivity non-contact 3D measurement, even on the most challenging parts.
Whether faced with glossy black plastic automotive body parts or moulded carbon-fibre components, the AS1 scans with no reduction in quality or productivity.

Leica Absolute Scanner LAS

Lightweight, ergonomic and designed for ease of use in harsh shop-floor environments, the Leica Absolute Scanner LAS is a user-friendly general-purpose manual laser scanner that offers excellent investment value. The LAS is about ease of use at a lower level of investment. If you’re looking for the same type of multi-surface measurement as the AS1 delivers but are willing to compromise on measurement speed and data quality to meet a stricter budget, the LAS is the choice.Contact us today to learn more about the Leica Absolute Scanner LAS and see how it can benefit your business!

Leica Absolute Scanner LAS-XL

The LAS-XL opens the door to previously infeasible large-scale 3D digitisation tasks. A scanline width of up to 600 millimetres and standoff at up to 1000 millimetres make this a scanner built for magnitude and speed. It is ideal for extremely large surface digitisation and measuring deep cavities where maintaining line-of-sight to the tracker would be difficult with other scanners. Just let the scanner do the work, with minimal station changes and accuracy to within 150 microns. If your application values speed over accuracy and has minimal fine features, the LAS-XL is the choice.

Leica T-Scan 5

The T-Scan 5 and Leica Absolute Tracker are the perfect duo for accurate 3D scanning. With the T-Scan 5's well-established red laser line scanner and the Absolute Tracker's precise tracking capabilities, they can produce hundreds of millions of accurate points on any surface, including matte black, highly reflective, and even carbon fiber, without any special preparation. With their combined strength, they offer unparalleled scanning experience in large volumes of up to 60 meters in diameter, all in a single set-up. This combination delivers outstanding results and takes your scanning to the next level of excellence.
