Adams uniquely standardizes on a single fully parametric MBD model across validation activities (vehicle dynamics, control system testing, HiL and driving simulators etc.). It eliminates the need for reduced order models and unlike them, it is capable of capturing the high frequency response of the mechanical systems, which is important for validating the system response to forced vibration, in ride analysis and tire-road interaction scenarios.
Adams has strong connections to other Hexagon products (e.g., autonomous simulation environments) and supports FMI for easy inclusion of third-party tools within Adams models or other way around.

1. Minimal effort to model, simulate and refine systems – Adams utilizes existing Adams MBD models directly in real time simulations (XiL), reducing model development time from days to hours or even minutes.
2. Make more informed decisions without physical prototypes – Validate system integration and reduce design uncertainties without the need to rely on physical prototypes.
3. Comprehensive multi-fidelity modelling – Model multiple fidelities in one model (rigid body, flexible bodies, advanced bushing configurations, etc.).
4. Computationally accurate and efficient – Adams’ powerful solver is tried, tested, and certified. It captures the high frequency responses in systems to deliver the most realistic feel of driving an actual vehicle or operating a machine.
