The latest release, EDGECAM 2024.1, revolutionizes turning, milling, and WireEDM operations by introducing advanced features aimed at improving productivity and reducing manual interventions. This new version brings high-level machine utilization and production scaling, with a specific focus on electric vehicles and aerospace industries.
Key Highlights
The Race Line Finishing Cycle (Preview*) targets electric vehicle production, while the addition of Multiaxis Machining and Rotary Machining revolutionizes five-axis operations. Significant enhancements for milling operations include improved chip prevention, air machining prevention, better cut increments, and fixture avoidance.
Rough milling cycle witness introductions like SWARF Clearance, enabling better tool management by tool life, and turning enhanced grooving with a new modifier. Wire EDM operations benefit from smart tag removal and triangular tags, intended to prevent premature detachment of cut pieces.
In essence, EDGECAM 2024.1 fuses enhanced control and smart toolpath separation, delivering efficient, agile, and precision-based CNC programming.

Milling Enhancements
Enhancements have been made to EDGECAM 2024.1 Milling Cycles - Roughing, Profile Milling and Chamfer.
Turning Enhancements
Improvements in EDGECAM 2024.1 now include seperate X and Z Offsets in Waveform Roughing for Turning. Also, the Finish Groove feature now enables utilization of Reverse Cut Order.
Tombstone - PCI
EDGECAM Tombstone Manager enhancement will result in shorter cycle times as customers now control how every movement is performed during manufacturing with the use of PCI-Javascript.
Race Line Finishing
EDGECAM is pleased to bring to the market a brand-new Race Line Finishing Cycle: - Seen as Precision meets performance! The Cycle targets the sealing faces of transmission systems.This is inspired by the booming electric vehicle sector, in which we collaborated closely with our customers to create a dedicated cycle tailored for gear houses.
